Target Audience

The journalism course adresses women and men who:

  • Want a first-class journalism education and learn from award-winning professional journalists and journalism educators from all over the world
  • Can't or don't want to attend a regular brick-and-mortar journalism school daily.

Before students join Open School of Journalism, most of them

  • studied another discipline and gained a University or College degree or
  • had a vocational training

that can sensibly be combined with journalism (e. g., Economics for Economic Journalism, Politics for Political Journalism etc.).

However, it is also possible to study journalism at OSJ first, and then have a specialization later.
