William Mahon III


Bill Mahon is a senior lecturer at Penn State University's College of Communications, one of the largest and most highly ranked accredited communications schools in the United States. He has taught there since January 2012.

Prior to that he served as vice president for University Relations at Penn State for almost six years.  He worked in a series of positions in the strategic communications office at Penn State for 27 years.

Before joining Penn State, Bill worked for seven years as a reporter and editor for a daily newspaper.

He earned his Bachelor's degree at Lock Haven State University in 1976, and his Master's degree in speech communications at Penn State in 1994. He is a 1998 graduate of Harvard University's Management Development Program.
