American Journalism

American Journalism is a peer-reviewed journal focused on the history of the the American press. It's the official publication of the American Journalism Historians group. The publication has been in operation since 1983. Published independently at first, the journal is now published by Taylor and Francis.

Currently edited by Barbara Friedman, American Journalism publishes articles and essays as well as book and digital media reviews. The journal publishes four issues per year and is available only to institutions. Writers they've published include John Hatcher, Steve M. Barkin, Amber Roessner and John M. Coward.
