Critical Studies in Media Communication is an academic journal that publishes articles with critical perspectives on mass communication. The journal was founded in 1984 as Critical Studies in Mass Communication. The journal is edited by Peter Decherney and Katherine Sender. It's published five times a year.

Critical Studies in Media Communication is the official publication of the National Communication Society. The society was founded in 1914 to study human communication and media in all its forms.
