X Index: The Voice of Free Expression was founded in 1972 to provide a forum for dissidents from Soviet and Warsaw Pact countries. Since then, it has expanded into an advocacy magazine that promotes freedom of speech and expression throughout the world. They are guided by the principals outlined in the United Nation's Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states that everyone throughout the world is entitled to free expression and speech that is unencumbered by their government.
Is available for subscriptions to both idividuals or institutions. The magazine may be subscribed to online or in print. The journal also has a downloadable app for phones and tablets. Interested readers may subscribe to the journal's newsletter, which announces new issues as they're published. Writers they've published include Tymoteusz Chajdas, Jennifer Granick and Rebecca MacKinnon.
