Journalism Award

Journalists are some of the hardest workers in the world. They devote their lives to bringing the public the truth and facts about the world around them. Some even risk their lives to succeed in this mission. Due to this, there are a wide range of journalism awards available to those who stand out and make a difference in their field. Most of these are annual awards, rewarded on a regular basis.

One of the most notable journalism awards is the Pulitzer Prize. There are several categories for journalists including breaking news reporting, feature writing, commentary, criticism, feature photography, and international reporting. As of 2008, online-only news became eligible for consideration as well. Categories and prizes have been changes around over the years, depending on the times and various fields. The awards are decided by a board consisting of twenty major publication editors and executives.
