Online Media

With the growth of the Internet in the 21st century, online media began to become a better way for society to receive their news. Online media allows publications to release their information and data practically instantly, communicating with their audience in a virtually interactive way. Compared to print or mass media, it allows for the immediate announcement of current events or breaking news, where the latter would need at least hours or days before release.

Online media also allows for independent journalists to partake in the journalism world. Blogs, Podcasts, and Vlogs help freelancers put themselves out there and establish followers. It also gets a lot of different opinions and viewpoints on the vital issues happening in the world.
