A photo journalist is a journalist that tells their story using their photography. Usually on the front lines of whatever event happening, they get great images that stick to the news. Some photo journalists use video instead of photographs, still sticking to telling their side of things visually. They cover relevant events ranging from sports to international affairs. Publications hire their own photo journalists and some work freelance on their own. Either way, it is a great industry to get into, as it offers an artist side to the news.
