The reader is the audience who is primarily focused on print or online media. A publications whole focus is to engage their reader's attention and ratings, calling them to continuously return to their company time and time again. Much like a listener is to broadcasting media, readers usually are more interested in newspapers, magazines, or online-based news such as blogs and online-only newspapers. Depending on the publication, the readership can scope all the way from an international basis to strictly local.
