In charge of recording sounds and directing the audio effects, sound engineers work in all different fields. They work as either freelancers or with publications. They need to be able to fix their equipment and be able to ensure it is always up and running, ready for production. Sound engineers should be able to look ahead and anticipate any problems, or be able to correct any issues that arise as quickly as possible. A strong relationship with the rest of the crew is very important as they need to consult the producers on a regular basis to define sound necessities.
