Concorda University – Department of Journalism (Canada)

The Department of Journalism at Concordia University, which was founded in 1975, offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in journalism. All of the programs place a strong emphasis on practical experience and hands-on training. There are many production workshops where students learn the basics of print and online media, as well as radio and television broadcasting. Graduate students can pursue an MA in Journalism Studies. The school also offers a one year Diploma Program in Visual Journalism. Concordia University is located in Montreal, which has many media and communications industries. This makes it a good backdrop for students as well as providing many employment opportunities for graduating students.
