Moscow State University's Journalism School was established in 1947 and is now recognized as one of the country's leading institutions for communication and journalism studies. Many graduates of this school go on to work for various news agencies, TV networks and radio stations in Russia and other countries. Both bachelor's and master's degrees are available. The bachelor's degree provides a broad background in media, while master's degree candidates can choose from specialities such as Mass Media Theories, Print Journalism Studies, Political Journalism Studies, History of Journalism and many other topics.
