International Women's Media Foundation (USA)

The International Women's Media Foundation is an organization of renown female journalists who work and promote for the benefit of women journalists all over the world. The IWMF works very hard to promote and support the rights of women journalists, especially in countries where women's rights are not fully recognized. The group offers training, support and guidance to women who are attempting to gain equal access to information so they can apply their journalistic skills and establish themselves as relevant journalists. Members are kept informed through a wide variety of publications, seminars, training programs and awards programs that are designed to celebrate the contributions of brave and dedicated women journalists working in media outlets everywhere in the world. They also offer assistance in the form of counseling and legal advice in order to help female journalists who are being exposed to intimidation and persecution.
