Kevin Sinclair was an author and journalist who spent more than 50 years reporting the news, 40 of them from Hong Kong. He worked for numerous publications such as The Star, the Hong Kong Standard, and the South China Morning Post. He was one of the first Western journalists to visit China and reported from many of the remote provinces. He authored around 24 books and received an MBE from Queen Elizabeth. After a long battle of cancer, Kevin passed away at the age of 65. He was named Person of the Year in 2007.
